Cash,

Oh, sweet baby of mine. You have finally made your appearance after 9 months of waiting! I enjoyed being pregnant with you so much, but I am so happy to finally have you on the outside! You are such a true joy to be around! Your daddy and I are so blessed to be your parents. God picked you to be ours, we are so honored! Every day you have taught us something new.

The night you came home we were so over joyed we just didn't know what to do! You slept in the room with us in your beautiful handmade bassinet.  But every sniffle or sigh that you made, we woke up! And when ever your paci would fall out, you would cry.  So after that, we decided no more paci in the bed! After battling with a little bit of jaundice and weight issues, you are a very healthy little boy! I started giving you formula at 3 weeks and boy did you pack on the pounds! You gained a pound and a half in a week! Go you!

I started tummy time with you, too, this month! You weren't too fond of it! But you will end up loving it, I am sure! I can't wait until you are sitting up and crawling around, but until then, I will enjoy every single second of holding you and knowing you are in the best place you could ever be!

Just to let you know, you are so lucky to be your father's son. He loves you so much. I see such happiness on his face when he talks to you or about you.  He loves to sing silly songs to you, as do I! And he also love to read to you. You look so much like him! I am so lucky that I know you will grow up to be just like him! He is such a wonderful role model!

You have some amazing other family members, too! Your Nana, PopPop, Grandma, Granddaddy, Aunt Heather, Aunt Jena, Emma, Blade, and Zayn all love you so much! We are so blessed to live next door to Nana, PopPop, and Emma so you get to see them almost everyday! You really enjoy going to their house for Saturday morning breakfasts and Sunday night dinners! You also love it when your Grandma and Granddaddy come to visit! You haven't met your Aunt Heather and her two sons Blade and Zayn yet, but they sure do love you!

You also have some amazing "aunts" and "uncles"! Our group of friends love you SO much! And you already have one baby friend! Jessica and Cody's son, Charleston, is your first friend, but definitely not your last! Jessica and John are about to have their son, Jack, in a few weeks! And Erica and Jaxon are going to have a baby sometime in September! You love all of our friends and they love you so much!

I love you Cash Brooks. You are the light of my life. I am so lucky to be your mom! Can't wait to see what this next month brings!

Happy one month baby boy,

Working on a new ME!

Man, it has been a while since I have done anything on here. If any of you are teachers, SPED teachers really, you understand me when I say I have been CRAZY busy with work. Alternate assessment, IEP's, transitions, ESY....it never ends! But, I love my sweet kiddos :) and I really love what I do :)

I didn't set a New Years resolution this year, I usually don't. But here lately I have been thinking about my health.  I NEED to lose weight. I just sat down and figured up some goals for weight loss and some rewards to go with it (ex: when I lose 10 pounds I am going to buy myself some OPI nail polish, when I lose 20 pounds I will get some new eye shadow, 30 pounds I will get some new shoes, etc.) I am pretty excited about this. I think having things to work towards will help a lot! I downloaded the "my fitness pal" app on my phone to help me count my calories and I have a membership at the DAC in Southaven.  I am going to cut out sweets, drink more water, and slow down with my diet cokes.

If anyone wants to join me at the DAC, I will usually be there around 4:30 and will stay to do a 45minute-1hour workout. And if anyone has any tips on anything, feel free to message me!

I hope everyone has a blessed week!

Thankful

I am thankful for....

1. My husband.  Man, I am one lucky lady to have this man in my life. God knows what he is doing and he has truly blessed me with Eddie.  This man is the most loving, giving, caring, wonderful, sexy man I have ever met.  I am so happy that he asked me to be his wife forever.

2. My family.  I have an amazing family including my in-laws.  Eddie and I would not be where we are today with out our families.

3. My friends.  I have one amazing group of friends! No matter where we are or what we are doing we are ALWAYS there for each other.

4. My great and mighty God. He is so wonderful.  We all sin and we are still forgiven. How great is he?

5. My job.  Getting transferred 5 weeks into school was very hard for me.  It has taught me that I can do things I never thought I would be able to.  I have made some great new friends. And I have learned that I look okay in the color green :)

6.  My home.  Oh, I just love our home.  :) It is so perfect for us.

7.  My car.  I love my car and I am SO THANKFUL that it does not cut off in the middle of the road like my Focus did.

8.  My sweet puppy.  I just love that big dog.  He is the best. :)

One month down....

Well, I made it through my first month of teaching!! And I have realized that I was BORN to do this! This month has been incredible! The group of kiddos I was blessed with were amazing! I survived two IEP meetings, faculty meetings, parent phone calls, the whole nine yards! I LOVE LOVED being a Horn Lake Eagle!  I found out last Wednesday that the school was losing a SPED unit and I was being transferred to Lake Cormorant Middle School.  So now I am officially a GATOR! Not a Florida Gator, just Lake Cormorant :) Yes, I was upset when I got the news (one reason is because I actually thought that it meant I was losing my job completely). Well, upset is an understatement.  I was a little devastated.  But I am over it and completely PUMPED about starting my new job! I get to actually have my DREAM job as a community-based teacher!!!! How many people can say that they accomplish getting their dream job just a few short months after graduating college??

So with all that said,

GO (Lake Cormorant) GATORS!!!

OH YEAH, I CAN'T FORGET ABOUT MY 2-0 REBELS!!! :) HOTTY TODDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stole this idea from Scotti :)

I am a....

Daughter- My parents have taught me wonderful things in my lifetime.  I thank them for loving me, punishing me, protecting me, and everything else in between. My mother is one of my best friends, and I am TOTALLY a daddy’s girl! :)
Aunt- I have the most precious niece in the entire world. I would not trade her for anything and cannot imagine my life without her.
Wife- I try to be the best wife possible to Eddie. Man, is he a good man! I can’t wait to start a family with him.  He will be the best father ever.  But, for right now, we are completely enjoying the married life together! Marriage is SO easy when you are married to the right person! :)
Friend- I have some amazingly wonderful friends! I hope that I have been the best friend possible to everyone! :)
College Graduate- HOTTY TODDY! I FINALLY graduated from college from my favorite school! It felt like it took FOREVER! :)

And we're the best group of friends that anyone could have!

I haven't posted in a while because I just didn't really know where to begin with what I wanted to say.  I think I figured it out.  This subject had been on my mind for a LOOOOONG time and now I need to finally get it off my chest.  Here we go.....

I went to a baby shower the other day and it was so lovely.  The mother-to-be is the sweetest woman and I can't wait to meet her sweet little girl.  Her friend since 2nd grade threw the shower for her.  I then realized that I don't have a friend that I have know that long.  I have HAD a friend that I became friends with around the 7th or 8th grade, but that is long time over.  She was my best friend, through thick and thin, through good times and bad.  We went through a lot together but apparently my wedding was what tore us apart.  You would think I would have let it go by now, BUT that's not how I roll.  The disappointment that I felt in her during the planning of it and the DAY OF is indescribable.  She went completely nuts-o! I wish that I could let it go, but I can't.  I am not sure why, but I just can't.  I have to get over the fact that I don't have that best friend since 2nd grade but I DO have the most amazing AMAZING friends that I have met over the years.  I wouldn't trade my group of friends for anything.  These are the people that I can depend on for anything. No matter where they live or what they have going on in their lives, I can ALWAYS lean on them.  I love my friends.  It's hard to lose a best friend of so many years, but it made it so easy when I had these girls in my life.  I am so grateful for my friends. I love you girls!

Are you ready??

I have come to a great place in my life. I graduated from Ole Miss yesterday!!!! I could not have done it without the support and love from some pretty amazing people in my life.
To my husband,
Sweet man, I love you so much. I don’t know how I could have done all of this without you.  You gave me encouraging words when I needed it. You gave me a shoulder to cry on when I felt defeated. You are so amazing and I thank you for everything.  I am blessed to be married to you.
To my amazing parents,
Y’all saw me through it all, from beginning to end.  I can’t begin to say thank you enough for the things y’all have done for me.  I have learned so much from both of you over the years.  Thank you for loving, caring, and even grounding me when I needed it!!  I know why y’all did it all!
To my friends,
Y’all are the best! When I need a friend to vent to, y’all are always there! When I need a friend to help me with anything, y’all are there! I have the best, most amazing group of friends a girl could ask for!!

This has been a long, tiring journey that I could not have gone through without any of y’all.  I love all of you so much.
